5 DAYS SOUTHERN SAFARI

Day 1: dar es salaam - selous game reserve

You will be taken from your hotel early in the morning and transfer to Dar es Salaam airport for your charter flight to Selous Game Reserve. Such an early start gives you time for a game drive after arrival and lunch at your selected accommodation. Set aside that the reserve is aimed for hunting, you can still have a lot of fun and wildlife to observe.

In the Rufiji River you will be able to spot hippos and crocodiles, with the birdlife equally mesmerizing. Lion are very common in the area, as they lay in the shade around lakes, waiting for the opportunity to feast on the animals coming to drink. One of the attractions of the Selous are certainly encounters with wild dogs.

Day 2 & 3: selous game reserve

After early breakfast depart for full day game drive with a professional guide, looking for the game in the surrounding bushes. You may expect to spot all your favorite African mammals such are elephant, giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebra and even the rare wild dog.

You will be served with picnic lunch around noon, on the selected shaded location near the water source, so that you can watch animals coming to drink. Before end of the day, you will return to your lodge, where you can spend the rest of the evening at your own leisure. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.

Day 4: fly to ruaha national park

After breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ruaha National Park. in route you might be fortunate to witness some of the animals in their morning routines. You will reach Ruaha in time for game drives and lunch your selected accommodation. Ruaha is the largest national park in Tanzania, exceptionally suitable for predators viewing, that include high number of lions and endangered wild dogs. This park is a pure wilderness, containing wide range of wildlife, and it is not that much crowded, which is perfect for people looking to experience genuine Tanzania outback.

Day 5 & 6: ruaha national park

Full day reserved for game viewing inside the park. Before end of the day, you will return to your lodge, where you can spend the rest of the evening at your own leisure. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.

Day 7: ruaha - dar es salaam

Very early start allows you morning game drive before return to your lodge for a breakfast and packing, followed by transport to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam, or optional Zanzibar holiday.
